This dvd tells the story of one of the most notable preserved steam locomotives in Britain – the pioneer British Railway’s Standard Class Pacific No. 70000 Britannia.
Famous throughout her life as the pioneer of the new regime, Britannia was to be returned to mainline running order in the 1990s.
In this dvd we see her at work over many routes throughout the country and her appearance on the ‘Golden Arrow’ trains from Victoria.
Footage is also included of her workings on preserved railways, including her base for many years at the Nene Valley Railway.
